YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. Actor Mischa Aznavour has arrived in Armenia to participate in the events honoring his late father, French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour’s 100th anniversary of birth.

Mischa Aznavour attended the screening of Le Regard de Charles, a Charles Aznavour biopic he produced.

In an interview with Armenpress, the actor said the biopic was already under production when Charles Aznavour died in 2018. The biopic was completed after Charles Aznavour’s death and that’s why it is ‘touching and emotional,’ he said.

Asked whether a second biopic could be made, Mischa Aznavour said he has a very big collection of materials but it would take a very long time to make a film out of it.

“Editing it takes a lot of time. It’s very difficult to make such a beautiful, high-quality film, that’s why, so far, I don’t have plans to make part two,” he said, stressing the importance of screening the film in Armenia.

Mischa Aznavour said he will always support his brother Nicolas Aznavour, who has moved to Armenia and launched the Aznavour Foundation.

Mischa Aznavour last visited Armenia ten years ago. He said that ever since the country has significantly developed.
