1 dead, 5 injured in explosion at Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant’s non-operational foundry

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS. An explosion occurred at the non-operational foundry of Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant, the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

The Kotayk Regional Crisis Management Center was alerted about the blast at 4:49 p.m.today.

Fire engines and rescue teams were quickly dispatched to the scene.

According to preliminary reports, six people have been hospitalized, one of whom, identified as E.H. (born in 1978), has died in the hospital.
