YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced Tuesday that a ‘significant movement’ has been recorded in the delimitation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“This movement is expressed by the fact that the delimitation commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan signed the regulation on joint activity,” Pashinyan said at the Yerevan Dialogue forum. “This regulation stipulates what the parties had announced in their statement issued as a result of the 8th meeting of the commissions on April 19 this year. Meaning, the Alma-Ata Declaration is stipulated as the fundamental principle of the delimitation process, and it is stipulated that the parties will be guided by the Alma-Ata Declaration.”

The regulation is now undergoing internal procedures in both countries.

“I am sure we will do everything here in Armenia to finalize it. Our government has adopted the draft [regulation], and sent it to the Constitutional Court to check its compliance to the constitution,” he added, referring to the internal ratification procedure.
