Armenia’s Order of Friendship bestowed upon Deputy Mayor of Paris Arnaud Ngatcha

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Ambassador to France Hasmik Tolmajian bestowed Armenia’s Order of Friendship upon Paris Deputy Mayor Arnaud Ngatcha during a ceremony at Paris City Hall on September 4.

President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan signed an order on bestowing the Order of Friendship upon Ngatcha for his significant contribution to strengthening and developing the Armenian-French friendly relations, the Embassy of Armenia in France said in a press release.

Ambassador Tolmajian and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo delivered remarks at the event.

Mayor Hidalgo highlighted the special relationship between Armenia and Paris and reiterated the French support to Armenia and the Armenian people. She congratulated Arnaud Ngatcha on receiving the honor. 

Ambassador Tolmajian said the Order of Friendship expresses the gratitude of the Armenian people to Paris for the sincere friendship. 

She thanked the city of Paris for the unconditional support and solidarity to Armenia, for the opening of the Esplanade d'Arménie and the Charles Aznavour park, and especially for the humanitarian initiatives and resolutions adopted in support of Armenia and the people of Nagorno-Karabkah after 2020.

Arnaud Ngatcha, the Deputy Mayor of Paris for foreign relations, said he was honored to receive the Order. He said he’ll continue to contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between Paris and Armenia with the same vigor, commitment and conviction.
