Armenian-Italian Institute launches operations in Yerevan

YEREVAN, AUGUST 29, ARMENPRESS. An Armenian-Italian institute was officially opened in Yerevan on August 29. The co-founders of the new educational center are Eurasia International University from Armenia, Tuscia University from Italy, and the University for Foreigners of Perugia.

The memorandum establishing the institute was signed by the rector of Eurasia International University, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor Suren Ohanyan; the rector of Tuscia University, Professor Stefano Ubertini; and the rector of the University for Foreigners of Perugia, Professor Valerio de Cesaris.

Following the signing ceremony, the rectors emphasized the importance of this project in their speeches and expressed their commitment to further developing cooperation.

Suren Ohanyan noted that the establishment of the institute has elevated the quality of the long-term cooperation between the parties. He also mentioned that the institute will offer various educational projects in political, economic, cultural, and other fields, as well as Italian language courses.

Following the official ceremony, a discussion titled "Armenian-Italian Relations: Achievements and Perspectives" took place. Representatives from the Armenian National Assembly, the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Italian Embassy in Armenia participated, along with the rectors and members of their delegations.

The speakers addressed current Armenia-Italian relations, interstate cooperation, issues related to Armenia's European integration, and programs implemented in academic, social, cultural, and other fields.
