Armenian Foreign Minister holds phone call with new Iranian counterpart

YEREVAN, AUGUST 23, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Iran’s new Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke by phone on Friday, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

Mirzoyan congratulated his new Iranian counterpart on taking office and wished him success in his new important mission, the foreign ministry said in a readout.

They discussed the Armenia-Iran bilateral relations agenda, underscoring mutual readiness to make continuous efforts for further strengthening the friendly ties and solid partnership in areas of mutual interest.

Upcoming programs were also discussed.

Mirzoyan said that Armenia highly values Iran’s unwavering stance on Armenia’s sovereignty and inviolability of its territorial integrity.
