YEREVAN, JULY 26, ARMENPRESS. Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Mehdi Sobhani dismissed the reports about arms contract between Tehran and Yerevan. This was reported by the Iranian Mehr agency, citing Ambassador Sobhani.
The Ambassador stressed that the news was spread by unreliable media outlets that had previously disseminated false information and malicious analytical materials about the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Ambassador, the purpose of such publications is to influence the development of friendly relations between Iran and the countries of the South Caucasus. He also noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran supports the establishment of peace and stability and economic development in the Caucasus region.
