Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister and ESCAP Executive Secretary discuss the prospects of cooperation

YEREVAN, JULY 17, ARMENPRESS. On July 16, in New York, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan had a meeting with Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, the Executive Secretary of the UN Economic and Social Commission for the Asia-Pacific Region (UNESCAP), the foreign ministry said.

The Deputy Foreign Minister highly appreciated the role of UNESCAP in promoting cooperation, sustainable development and inclusive growth in the region.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the future prospects of cooperation with the organization underscoring the importance of developing collaboration particularly in the spheres of communication and information technologies.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia provided information about the World Congress of Innovation and Technology (WCIT 2024) to be held in Armenia on October 4-7  under the theme “The power of mind: AI Beyond Limits, Within Ethics.”
