The Ambassador of Armenia to Greece met with the mayor of Thessaloniki

YEREVAN, JULY 17, ARMENPRESS. Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Greece Tigran Mkrtchyan met with the mayor of Thessaloniki Stelios Angeloudis. According to the readout issued by the Embassy of Armenia in Greece, the ambassador congratulated the mayor on his victory in the local government elections and wished him success.

 Stelios Angeloudis noted that he is well-versed in Armenian history and highly values the role of the Armenian community in the life of Thessaloniki.

 He expressed his readiness, within his capabilities, to contribute to the development of Armenian-Greek relations in all directions.

 The interlocutors discussed cooperation programs between the sister cities of Thessaloniki and Gyumri and issues of organizing mutual visits. The parties also discussed the possibility of organizing a conference with the participation of representatives of local governments of Armenia and Greece.
