Ararat Mirzoyan briefed Tatiana Molcean on South Caucasus security situation development

YEREVAN, JULY 17, ARMENPRESS. As part of his working visit to New York, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) Tatiana Molcean.

According to the readout issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the interlocutors discussed issues related to the implementation of joint programs of Armenia and UN structures, including UNECE.

The process of effective implementation of sustainable development goals by Armenia and the third voluntary national report presented by Ararat Mirzoyan were touched upon.

The interlocutors exchanged thoughts on the possibilities of cooperation with the UNECE to achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda, including in the areas of transport infrastructure, renewable energy sources, green economy, environment, and road safety.

 Ararat Mirzoyan and Tatiana Molcean also discussed the priorities of cooperation at multilateral platforms, including within the group of landlocked developing countries. Mirzoyan also presented the latest developments regarding the security situation in the South Caucasus.
