Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan met with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, President of the IRI Mejlis

YEREVAN, JULY 11, ARMENPRESS. Armenin National Assembly Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan met with President of the Majles of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf within the framework of the BRICS Parliamentary Forum in St. Petersburg.

Rubinyan congratulated the interlocutor on the successful holding of the extraordinary presidential elections held in the friendly Islamic Republic of Iran, the Armenian Parliament said in a readout.

According to the source, both sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of Armenia-Iran relations.

The Deputy Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly emphasized that the Armenia-Iran partnership is based on friendship for thousands of years.

The parties emphasized joint efforts made in the direction of further development of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Armenia-Iran inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as regional security and peace were discussed at the meeting.
