Unblocking communication channels would serve as additional factor in establishing peace in the region - Mirzoyan

YEREVAN, JULY 3, ARMENPRESS. During a joint press conference with Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan expressed his opinion that unblocking communication channels in the South Caucasus would be beneficial both for the region itself and for countries beyond its borders.

Mirzoyan, referring to the unblocking of communication channels in the region, noted that Armenia has presented a constructive proposal and has constructive intentions in this matter.

"We believe that this vision and this unblocking can be economically beneficial not only for Armenia and Azerbaijan, but also for all countries in the region and even beyond. 
Moreover, we believe that this program and the unblocking will serve as an additional factor for establishing peace in the region.

That's why we introduced the 'Crossroads of Peace' initiative. It is worth noting that the Armenian  Prime Minister first presented the 'Crossroads of Peace' initiative in Tbilisi," Mirzoyan said.

The Armenian Foreign Minister has invited his Georgian counterpart to Yerevan.
