Citizen of the RA in need of care was trasferred to Armenia and received medical assistance with the help of HRD

YEREVAN, JUNE 25, ARMENPRESS. A citizen of the Republic of Armenia in need of medical assistance and care, was transferred from Chelyabinsk to Armenia, underwent the necessary medical examinations, and received appropriate medical care, according to a press release from the press office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia.

“The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Chelyabinsk Region of the Russian Federation Ms. Yulia Sudarenko appealed to the Human Rights Defender of Armenia Ms. Anahit Manasyan, stating that a citizen of the Republic of Armenia receiving treatment in one of the medical institutions of the city has serious health problems, and needs proper medical assistance and care,” the press release reads.

The Commissioner informed that the Armenian citizen lives alone, and has no relatives who can take care of him. The Commissioner also expressed her readiness to support the citizen's relocation to Armenia.

Based on the instructions of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, the representatives of the Defender's Office contacted the Commissioner's representative to discuss the details of organizing the process. Subsequently, through the efforts of the Commissioner, the citizen, accompanied by a doctor, was transferred to the Republic of Armenia.

“On the initiative of the Human Rights Defender, and as a result of the cooperation with the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Armenia, the citizen was transferred from "Zvartnots" international airport through the Ambulance Service to a specialized medical facility, underwent the necessary medical examinations, and received appropriate medical care," the press office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia adds.

Furthermore, the Unified Social Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia has taken the necessary steps to assess the person's functionality. According to the press release, the Human Rights Defender values the constructive work with state bodies in terms of providing prompt solutions to problems.
