Yerevan proposes Baku to create bilateral mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations

YEREVAN, JUNE 22, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Prime Minister's Office issued a statement about the offer made to Azerbaijan to create a bilateral mechanism for investigation of ceasefire violations.

The message reads as follows:

“Recently, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been regularly disseminating information about ceasefire violations by units of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia. Despite the fact that the Ministry of Defense of Armenia has refuted all these accusations, Azerbaijan continues to disseminate such information.

In continuation of the statement of the Prime Minister of Armenia of June 15, 2024 and based on the fact that the desire of the Government of Armenia is to prevent the emergence of tension, the Armenian Prime Minister Office, through diplomatic channels, proposed to the Office of the President of Azerbaijan to create a bilateral mechanism for investigating cases of violation of the ceasefire regime. The Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia proposes to begin the practical implementation of the specified mechanism.”
