YEREVAN, MAY 29, ARMENPRESS. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in the Moldovan capital of Chişinau on Wednesday before traveling to Prague to attend a NATO foreign ministers meeting.
The trip comes just two weeks after Blinken made an unannounced trip to Ukraine to reassure Kyiv of Washington's support, the AP reports.
In Chisinau, Blinken will meet Moldova's President Maia Sandu and other senior officials.
According to Reuters, Jim O'Brien, the top U.S. diplomat for Europe at the State Department, told reporters on Friday that the United States would likely announce a "robust package" of support for Moldova's energy independence, without elaborating.
In the evening, Blinken will go to Prague for an informal meeting of NATO ministers of foreign affairs on May 30.
