Moscow is interested in a stable situation in Armenia

YEREVAN, MAY 28, ARMENPRESS. First Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, Vladimir Dzhabarov, said that Russia is interested in a stable situation in Armenia, RIA Novosti reports this, quoting the words of a Russian official.

Vladimir Dzhabarov also stated that the Russia will work with any government in the republic.

"The main thing is that there [in Armenia] there should be no human victims," he said.

According to Dzhabarov, Russia is closely monitoring the situation because Armenia is “our partner in the CSTO, although they have recently been increasingly talking about leaving this structure.”

“In addition, it is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union. So far we see that Pashinyan retained his power both after the elections and after the second Karabakh war. He has a fairly strong position,” he wrote.

Vladimir Dzhabarov also highlighted that we are natural allies of Armenia and hope that we will remain so in the future.

“Any attempt to separate from us will have the most dire consequences for Armenia itself, because the Armenians have no more loyal ally than Russia,” he concluded.
