Spanish lawmaker warns of risk of ethnic cleansing facing Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh amid new Azeri attack

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. There is a clear risk of ethnic cleansing and extermination of Armenians in their historical lands, Nagorno-Karabakh, Spanish Member of Parliament Jon Inarritu said after Azerbaijan launched a major bombardment attack in Nagorno-Karabakh.

In a post on X, Inarritu accused the international community of not paying sufficient attention to the attack.

“Azerbaijan is once again attacking the Armenian people of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh). There is a clear risk of ethnic cleansing and extermination facing the Armenians in their own lands, whereas the international community is turning a blind eye,” the Spanish lawmaker said. He also posted a video showing frightened locals amid air raid sirens in Stepanakert.
