YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that Armenia can’t change its foreign policy vector and that the vector is always determined in accordance with Armenia’s national interests.
Speaking to reporters outside a polling station in Yerevan after casting his ballot in the City Council election, PM Pashinyan said that the foreign policy of the Armenian government is transparent. He said that the claims that Armenia is changing its foreign policy vector are inappropriate.
“Armenia cannot change the foreign policy vector, in the sense that Armenia’s foreign policy vector is always determined in accordance with Armenia’s state interests. Armenia’s foreign policy is always defined and guided by Armenia’s state interests,” PM Pashinyan said.
Asked about his recent letter sent to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Armenian Prime Minister said that he presented in the letter the assessment on the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact, the same assessments that he presented during the multiple phone calls he had with Putin during this year.
