Russian peacekeepers evacuate 80 people from Nagorno-Karabakh

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh have transported 80 people to Armenia, according to the Peacekeeper Telegram channel, which is issuing updates on the contingent’s activities.

The evacuees, who had requested the Russian peacekeepers to escort them to Armenia, are students of Armenian and foreign universities, as well as specialists and construction workers who’ve become unemployed due to the blockade and were unable to return to their homes.

The Russian peacekeepers organized the transport and oversaw the crossing through the Azerbaijani checkpoint.
