Voters in Yerevan head to polls to elect new City Council

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS. Voters in Yerevan on Sunday headed to the polls to elect a new City Council which will in turn elect a new Mayor.
475 polling stations encompassing 10 electoral districts in the Armenian capital opened at 08:00. The voting will end at 20:00.
13 political parties and 1 bloc are running for office.
824,250 citizens are eligible to vote in the elections, according to data released by the ministry of internal affairs.
