Serviceman sustains fatal gunshot wound in unclear circumstances

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. A serviceman of the Armed Forces of Armenia died from a gunshot wound around 19:50, on September 12, the Armenian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

It said that an investigation has been launched to reveal the circumstances of the deadly incident.

The deceased was identified by the ministry as Alex Avanesyan.

“An investigation is underway to entirely reveal the circumstances of the incident. The Ministry of Defense extends condolences and support to the family, relatives and comrades of the serviceman,” the ministry added.
