Substantive issues over CSTO deployment could be discussed as soon as Armenia is ready, says Russia

YEREVAN, APRIL 12, ARMENPRESS. Russia is “satisfied” that Armenia maintains interest over accepting peacekeepers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Russian foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing on April 12, citing FM Lavrov’s statement.

“I can also add that as soon as Yerevan is ready, we can return to the substantive issues on the deployment of a CSTO mission in Armenia, regarding concrete details,” Zakharova said.

Asked on the possible timeframes of a deployment, Zakharova said the question must be addressed to Armenia.
