Embassy of Syria in Armenia opens condolence book

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 9, ARMENPRESS. The Embassy of Syria in Armenia opened a condolence book in honor of the victims of the devastating earthquake.

Foreign ambassadors and diplomats, representatives of NGOs and members of the public are visiting the embassy to sign the condolence book from early Thursday morning.

Armenia has sent a 29-man rescue team to support Syria’s search-and-rescue operations. Armenia also sent 30 tons of humanitarian aid. More than 3000 people were killed and thousands of others were injured in the February 6 earthquake.
