Motorist killed in presumed gas cylinder explosion in Artsakh

YEREVAN, JANUARY 27, ARMENPRESS. A resident of the Vaghuhas village in Martakert, Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) was killed in what authorities believe was a gas cylinder explosion in a car.

The 36-year-old victim was driving a UAZ Hunter SUV along the Getavan-Khnkavan road when the incident happened. The car was at the 2nd kilometer of the road when the explosion occurred around 18:15, January 26.

“According to preliminary information the incident happened as a result of an explosion of the vehicle’s gas cylinder,” the Investigative Committee of Artsakh said in a statement.

An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident.
