Armenia wants to buy MRSAM medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems from India. IDRW

YEREVAN, JANUARY 13, ARMENPRESS. Armenia wants to buy MRSAM medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems from India, ARMENPRESS reports the website of the Indian Defense Research Wing informed.

It is noted that Armenia wants to replace the Soviet-made "Pechora" S-125 anti-aircraft missile systems in its arsenal.

According to the source, India also offered Armenia Akash and Akash-NG systems, which are also of its own production. The point is that although the MRSAM anti-aircraft missile systems are manufactured in India, some technologies are borrowed from Israel.

At the same time, IDRW notes that New Delhi has no restrictions on the export of MRSAM systems. This deal will be remarkable in that the main opponent of Armenia, Azerbaijan, is also highly dependent on Israeli supplies, in particular, its armament includes Barak-8 anti-aircraft missiles.

According to the Indian Defense Research Wing, МRSAM systems can target aircrafts in a radius of 70 kilometers.
