YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Ambassador-at-Large of Armenia Edmon Marukyan says it’s time for the European Union to liberalize the entry of the citizens of Armenia to the Schengen countries.
“Today marks the 5th anniversary of EU CEPA [Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the European Union]. It’s time for the EU to make a decision on liberalizing the entry of the citizens of Armenia to the countries of the Schengen zone. The citizens of Armenia must travel to EU states without Schengen visas. With its reforms Armenia has gained that right. The ball is in the EU’s court to make that decision as soon as possible. I hope we will also reach that important milestone in 2023 thanks to our efforts”, Marukyan said in a statement on social media.
