Global Media Congress opens in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, NOVEMBER 15, ARMENPRESS. The first edition of the Global Media Congress opened November 15 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The congress, organized by ADNEC Group in partnership with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), is held under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The three-day event is taking place under the theme “Shaping the Future of the Media Industry”.

ARMENPRESS has joined the congress as a media partner and is participating alongside more than 1,200 media sector pioneers, specialists, and influencers from six continents, with more than 30 debates and workshops featuring more than 162 globally renowned speakers.

WAM Director General Mohamed Jalal Al Rayssi read the welcoming remarks by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. “We want the media congress to become an annual, global platform for exchange of experience and ideas, as well as improving cooperation and sharing knowledge. I am asking all media representatives to bring their experience and ideas to find the best solutions to the challenges facing the world today,” read the message by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

WAM Director General Mohamed Jalal Al Rayssi called for unorthodox and innovative solutions for the media sector, focusing on new technologies and ideas. “This all will be useful in terms of conveying a new shape to the sector. This is the very idea that was the basis for making the decision to organize the Global Media Congress,” he said.
