Armenia’s Vice Speaker of Parliament elected Chair of CSTO PA political and international cooperation committee

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. Vice Speaker of Parliament of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan has been elected Chairman of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Parliamentary Assembly’s Standing Committee on Political and International Cooperation Affairs, the CSTO said.

First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs Dmitry Novikov was elected as Arshakyan’s deputy in the Standing Committee.

Yerevan is hosting today the session of the CSTO PA Standing Committee on Political and International Cooperation Affairs.

As new Chair of the Committee, Hakob Arshakyan introduced the session participants on the implementation process of Armenia’s 2022 chairmanship priorities in the CSTO.

The session participants are discussing also the current military-political situation in the Caucasus region.
