Armenian President, Turkey lawmaker discuss possibilities of opening borders between two countries

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received ethnic Armenian lawmaker of the Turkish parliament Garo Paylan, the Presidential Office said.

President Khachaturyan welcomed Garo Paylan’s visit to Armenia.

During the meeting the Armenia-Turkey normalization process, the possibilities and prospects of opening the borders between the two countries were discussed.

Issues relating to the Karabakh conflict settlement, the establishment of stable and lasting peace in the region, as well as the pan-Armenian agenda were also touched upon at the meeting.

Garo Paylan thanked the Armenian President for the welcome and stated that he is ready to contribute to solving all these issues as much as he can.
