Armenia joins EAEU project on organizing excursions to areas where heavy battles of Great Patriotic War took place

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 28, ARMENPRESS. Speaker of Parliament of Armenia Alen Simonyan participated today in the meeting of the heads of parliament of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, the Parliament’s press service said.

The meeting was aimed at promoting cooperation and exchange of experience between the youth in the field of culture.

Chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko and Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova presented the pilot project which was successfully implemented among the youth and proposed the other member states of the EAEU to join the initiative. According to the project, excursions are organized for the youth to the territories where the heavy battles of the Great Patriotic War have taken place.

Alen Simonyan announced that Armenia joins the project.
