YEREVAN, OCTOBER 28, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation of the France-Armenia Friendship Group of the French parliament led by Anne-Laurence Petel, the PM’s Office said.
Pashinyan praised the fact that in recent years the relations between Armenia and France have received a new dynamics, the result of which is the frequent mutual visits at various levels. “At this period we have been repeatedly convinced that France is a friendly country for us and always stands by Armenia in difficult situations”, the PM said, adding that the government of Armenia is interested in consistently developing the bilateral mutual partnership in all areas.
Anne-Laurence Petel thanked for the warm welcome and as representative of the ruling party said that France is ready to continue its support to Armenia to overcome the challenges.
During the meeting the sides discussed the processes happening in the South Caucasus region, the steps to eliminate the consequences of the aggression of Azerbaijan and the ongoing activity of the EU Mission in Armenia. The PM highlighted the key role of France as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair country.
Views were exchanged on further steps to increase the volumes of economic ties and trade turnover between the two countries. A number of issues relating to the expansion of cooperation in infrastructures, telecommunication, energy, air transportation, investments, agriculture, healthcare, science and education were discussed.
