Armenian, Russian FMs discuss the preparations for the extraordinary session of the CSTO Council

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation on October 27, ARMENPRESS reports the Russian Foreign Ministry informed.

The ministers discussed a number of topical issues of Armenian-Russian relations, preparations for the extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and upcoming high-level contacts.

The extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council will take place on October 28, 2022. During the session, it is planned to discuss the results of the work of the CSTO mission sent to Armenia on September 15, 2022 by the decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council, in connection with the escalation of the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

It is also planned to discuss joint measures to provide assistance to the Republic of Armenia.
