Azerbaijan gradually escalates situation, warns senior Artsakh official

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 20, ARMENPRESS. Azerbaijan is gradually escalating the situation, a senior Artsakh official has warned.

“Note that Azerbaijan tonight increased the caliber of ceasefire violation against Armenian armed forces at this time using also mortars. It means that Baku goes for gradual escalation & provocation of the situation. Impunity always generates new crimes,” the State Minister of Artsakh Artak Beglaryan tweeted, sharing the report of the Armenian Ministry of Defense on the Azeri ceasefire violation at the Armenian border.

During the October 19-20 ceasefire breach, the Azeri forces attacked Armenian military positions with small arms and mortar fire in the eastern direction of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
