Armenian Security Council Secretary briefs Swiss parliamentary delegation on latest Azerbaijani aggression

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 14, ARMENPRESS. Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan met today with the delegation of Parliament of Switzerland, the Office of the Security Council said in a news release.

The delegation included member of the Swiss-Armenian Friendship Group Stefan Müller-Altermatt, federal lawmaker Michel Matter, Swiss Ambassador to Armenia Lukas Rosenkranz and general secretary of the Armenia-Switzerland Friendship Group Sargis Shahinyan.

Armen Grigoryan presented the latest aggression of Azerbaijan against Armenia’s sovereign territory and its consequences. He said these actions of Azerbaijan are also an attack directed to Armenia’s democracy.

Stefan Müller-Altermatt said Switzerland is committed to contribute to the development of democratic institutions in Armenia. In this context he highly appreciated the parliamentary and community democratic elections held in Armenia.

During the meeting the sides also discussed a broad range of issues relating to both the bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including the prospects and opportunities to expand the economic partnership.
