Government introduces programs aimed at assisting wounded soldiers, families of civilian victims and missing persons

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has developed and put into circulation two draft projects aimed at assisting the servicemen who were wounded in the latest attack of Azerbaijan against Armenia’s territory, as well as the families of civilians who were killed and went missing as a result of this attack, Spokesperson to the minister Zara Manucharyan told Armenpress.
She informed that with the first program, financial assistance will be provided to the wounded servicemen who in that period have received medical care and service in hospitals, do not have a disability group or have a third disability group. This assistance will be provided one-time in the amount of 500,000 drams to each beneficiary.
The next program, which is also in circulation, envisages social assistance to the families of civilian victims and missing persons.
If the program is approved, the families of civilian victims will receive a lump sum of 5 million drams, and the families of missing persons will receive 300,000 drams a month.
The Spokesperson said that these two draft programs are being circulated at the moment within the concerned agencies and will be submitted to the Office of the Prime Minister after summarizing.
