Soldier’s Home Rehabilitation Center opens new department enabling full-cycle treatment

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. The Soldier’s Home Rehabilitation Center inaugurated a new department which will supplement the entire cycle of treatment from surgery to rehabilitation.

The department features 3 new operating rooms, an ICU department and 7 post-surgery rooms with 14 beds.

Yerevan State Medical University Rector Armen Muradyan said that this new department will enable patients to receive the full course of treatment at the Soldier’s Home, without the need of transferring to another facility.

A 24-hour patient monitoring equipment is also available, and the department is adjusted for persons with disabilities.

The new surgical department will offer microsurgery, plastic surgery, orthopedic and trauma surgery, urological and other surgical services.

The renovation of the department was sponsored by Armenian Relief Society Western USA, the US-based Family Rescue Fund and Naz Bashkijian-Atikian, with participation of the Belgian government, One Armenia, Veterans of Armenia and Face of Angel.
