Belgian parliamentarians visit Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS. The delegation led by Head of the Belgium-Armenia Friendship Group Mark Demesmaeker, who arrived in Armenia on a working visit, visited today the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan, the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute said.

The delegation was accompanied by Head of the Armenia-Belgium Friendship Group Armen Rustamyan.

The guests were welcomed by Deputy Director of the Museum-Institute Lusine Abrahamyan who introduced them on the history of the creation of the Memorial.

The Belgian parliamentary delegation laid flowers at the Eternal Flame, paying tribute to the memory of the Genocide victims with a moment of silence.

They also toured the Armenian Genocide Museum, got acquainted with the permanent and temporary exhibits.

At the end of the visit the members of the Belgian delegation left notes in the Honorary Guest Book.
