Pashinyan, Blinken discuss UN Security Council meeting convened after Azerbaijani attack on Armenia

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed the debates around Armenia’s appeal to the UN Security Council during their telephone conversation, the PM’s Office said.

Prime Minister Pashinyan once again highlighted the importance of international community’s proper response to what is happening.

The PM presented details about the current situation caused by the latest aggression of Azerbaijan against Armenia’s sovereign territory. He said that despite the relative calm on the border, the situation remains very tense.

In turn the US Secretary of State extended his condolences over the loss of lives in the military actions and reiterated the US readiness to contribute to peace and dialogue.
