Telefónica S.A. interested in cooperation with Armenia

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian met with Chief Operating Officer of Telefónica, S.A., a Spanish multinational telecommunications company, Ángel ViláBoix, in Abu Dhabi on the sidelines of his working visit to the United Arab Emirates, the Armenian President’s Office told Armenpress.

Telefónicaoperates in 14 countriesand has a presence in 24, with and an average of120,138 professionals, more than 356 million clients.

The sides discussed wide range of issues of mutual interest. President Sarkissian introduced Armenia’s competitive advantages and opportunities, stating that the country is moving on with decisive steps in the field of new technologies.

In turn Ángel ViláBoix said they will examine the cooperation opportunities with Armenia in particular in the field of cloud technologies and will present their proposals soon.
