Two Lebanese-Armenian officers appointed to top positions in Presidential Guard units of Lebanon

BEIRUT, NOVEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS. Two Lebanese - Armenian military servicemen – Hovhannes Keshishyan and Petros Lapajyan began serving in the Presidential Palace of Lebanon, ARMENPRESS correspondent reports from Beirut.
Hovhannes Keshishyan has been appointed commander of the B unit of the Presidential Guard – in charge of the President’s personal security.
Petros Lapajyan has been appointed commander of the G unit of the Presidential Guard – in charge of the Presidential Palace’s activities.
This is the first time in Lebanon’s modern history that two high ranking Lebanese-Armenian officers are simultaneously appointed to such important positions.
