Armenian community to actively participate in ceremonies dedicated to Ukraine’s independence

YEREVAN, AUGUST 22, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian community of Ukraine will have an active participation in the ceremonies dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the independence of Ukraine on August 24, Analitikaua.net reports.

Executive Director of the Armenian Union of Ukraine Davit Mkrtchyan said the representatives of the Armenian community will take part in “World’s Ukrainians for Ukraine” cultural ceremony which is going to be held in the Kyiv National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet on August 22.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will also attend the ceremony.

The Armenian community of Ukraine is one of the largest and most organized communities in that country. Armenians have created great material and spiritual heritage here.
