Poroshenko and Biden record deterioration of situation in Donbas

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 19, ARMENPRESS. Ukrainian President Petro poroshenko informed US Vice PresidentJoeBiden on deterioration of the situation in Donbas, particularly the increased number of strikes committed including with the use of multiple launch rocket systems by the Russian-controlled militants and the increasing hostile activities in the vicinity of Marinka, statement of the press service of the Ukrainian state reads, “Armenpress” reports.

Vice President Biden condemned worsening of the security situation and assured of Washington's steadfast position regarding support for territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Petro Poroshenko stressed that the Ukrainian parliament had adopted the visa-free laws submitted by him, inter alia, on fight against corruption.

The parties agreed that further implementation of reforms in Ukraine was critical in the context of cooperation with the IMF and other international financial institutions.
