Armenia among top three CIS countries enjoying popularity of Russian tourists
17:24, 27 January 2016YEREVAN, JANUARY 27, ARMENPRESS. Travel.ru tourist agency has analyzed the tourism directions to CIS countries that are most popular among Russian tourists in 2016.
“Armenpress” reports the rating has been formed based on the prices of hotel bookings from February 1 to December 31, 2016.
“Last year the number of individual tourists travelling to CIS countries increased by 20%, and Yerevan entered the top three popular cities of the CIS”, director of communications of Travel.ru Yakov Sadchikov said.
Russians book hotels in Yerevan for 5 days in average and are ready to pay over 2.5 thousand rubles daily for living here.
According to Travel.ru information the top 10 popular cities for Russian tourists in 2016 are Minsk, Tbilisi, Yerevan, Baku, Kyiv, Almaty, Tashkent, Chisinau, Astana and Vitebsk.
Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are the most popular CIS countries.
