Kesab-Latakia highway is liberated

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS. Syrian army, liberating Zahi peak, locating near the Kesab, also liberated Kesab-Latakia highway. As “Armenpress” was informed from Kantsasar newspaper, All the forests and hills, which were used by the terrorists for placing snipers or rocket attacks in the region, were liberated.

Kesab-Latakia highway is open till Kesab border checkpoint. Three years after being closed, on December 13, the number of vehicles used the mentioned road to travel from Latakia to Kesab.

The Syrian army is recovering the road now, is de-mining and asphalting it, until the road finally will be declared a safe area.

The source informs that Kasabians are quieter in the present and the region is free from the heated clashes.
