First trucks reach Aleppo after main road liberation

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. The first trucks transported food supplies and fuel to Aleppo on November 5 after the main road linking Aleppo to the world - Khanasir-Athriya was liberated by the Syrian Army. “Armenpress” reports referring to Aleppo newspaper Gandzasar that the trucks safely reached the destination.

According to Syria PM Wael Al-Halqi’s instructions, large amount of food and fuel will be transported to Aleppo during the upcoming days.

On November 4 Syrian official sources announced that the Syrian Army had liberated Khanasir road opening the only overland route linking Aleppo to the world.
