2.9 magnitude earthquake hits Spitak

YEREVAN, JUNE 24, ARMENPRESS. A 2.9 magnitude earthquake hit 7 km South-West from the city of Spitak in the Republic of Armenia at 14.16 o'clock. The earthquake strength reached 4 points in the epicenter. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia informed "Armenpress" that the hypocenter of the earthquake is 10 km deep. The geographical coordinates of the epicenter are as follows: 40.780 northern latitude and 44.210 eastern longitude. In accordance with the preliminary information the earthquake was recorded in the cities of Vanadzor and Spitak and measured 3 points.
