YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS: Armenian community in India raised the voice of protest and revolt in front of the Hungarian Consulate in Kolkata against the illegal extradition of Ramil Safarov and immediate pardon by the President Ilham Aliyev. A protest letter was sent to Hungarian Consulate in Kolkata.

 Indian-Armenian spiritual pastor and Manager of Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy Father Khoren Hovhannisyan mainly wrote in his letter ,,Human’s life is given by God. Premeditated murder is a crime against mankind and God. For the sake of Indian Armenians we demand Hungarian authorities to apologize for releasing a man who was sentenced to a life imprisonment. This unacceptable decision disregards human’s rights, justice, human dignity and rejects the divine law on earth” Armenpress was informed.

When giving the letter to the Consul Father Khoren expressed his deep indignation and said that if the Consul resign he would become the hero for Father Khoren.    

Lieutenant Ramil Safarov was sentenced ro a life imprisonment in 2006 by Hungarian court.
