Armenia’s Cenbank president says co-op with IMF and WB in past 25 years is ‘productive’

YEREVAN, JUNE 10, ARMENPRESS. Arthur Javadyan – president of Armenia’s Central Bank, held a meeting with participants of the annual meeting of the IMF and World Bank Belgium and Netherland-led subgroup’s countries.

The Cenbank told ARMENRESS that upon greeting the guests, Javadyan mentioned that he is glad to host the participants of the meeting this year and especially thanked his Croatian counterpart BorisVujčić for supporting the relocation of the meeting venue to Armenia.

Javadyan mentioned that for the past 25 years Armenia has been productively cooperating with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

He emphasized that during these years this institutions have played a significant role in the development of Armenia’s economy, by supporting both public and private sectors. Javadyan highly appreciated the IMF and WB assistance in the reforms.

The Cenbank president noted that these annual meetings of the subgroups remain one the best platforms for exchange of new ideas and discussion of ongoing projects.

Ongoing economic issues are planned to be discussed during the meeting.

Earlier the participants of the session were hosted in the President’s Office.
