Public TV of Armenia receives no official writ from Ukraine over Artsvik’s participation in 
Eurovision

YEREVAN, MARCH 21, ARMENPRESS. Russian media outlets have spread information according to which Armenian representative at Eurovision song contest Artsvik Harutyunyan’s entry to Ukraine may be banned for visiting Crimea. Anton Gerashchenko, advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has said that if Artsvik Harutyunyan has been to Crimea a separate decision will be taken for her. “Armenpress” was informed from the Public TV of Armenia that Armenia has participated in Eurovision for over a decade and currently the preparatory works for this year’s contest are underway. “The Public TV of Armenia has receives no official writ over this issue”, reads the statement.

Armenia’s selected entrant for the Eurovision 2017 International Song Contest Artsvik will perform on May 9, during the contest’s first semifinal.

Countries competing at the first semifinal include Montenegro, Finland, Georgia, Portugal, Belgium, Sweden, Albania, Australia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Slovenia, Moldova, Czech Republic, Latvia, Iceland, Greece and Poland. The second semifinal will be held on May 11.

Singers from 43 countries will take part in Eurovision 2017 to be held in Kiev.
