Petition on convening extraordinary session in Parliament fails to reach required signatures

YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS. 19 lawmakers have signed the petition of convening an extraordinary session in the Armenian Parliament, thus the session won’t take place.

MP Nikol Pashinyan – who initiated the petition – wrote on Facebook: “Several lawmakers have contacted us and said they are willing to sign the petition upon returning to Yerevan. I think the issue of convening an extraordinary session in Parliament should remain on the agenda of the public and political life, because the situation regarding the Police precinct isn’t a criminal-judicial matter, but rather a political issue and should be resolved in the range of political decisions and discussions”.
